What is Lake Okutama?

Lake Okutama’s official name is Ogochi Reservoir.

It is an artificial lake (reservoir) managed by the Tokyo Metropolitan Bureau of Waterworks that straddles Okutama Town, Nishitama District, Tokyo, and Tambayama Village and Kosuge Village, Kitatsuru District, Yamanashi Prefecture. It was built by damming it up.

At the time it was built, it was the world’s largest water reservoir, and today it is one of the largest water reservoirs in Japan.

The charm of Lake Okutama

You can go to Okutama’s autumn leaves without any problems by riding a Harley.

There are many parking lots around Lake Okutama, so you can park your motorcycle at the parking lot depending on your purpose and location and tour around Lake Okutama on foot.

It is also a mecca for bikers, so you will pass by many bikers.

Depending on the bike you ride, you may be able to interact with other bikers.
