I traveled to Nikko Toshogu Shrine by myself on a Harley, so I would like to introduce this spot.
What is Nikko Toshogu Shrine?
Nikko’s shrines and temples are a world heritage site that represents Japan. The most famous of these, Nikko Toshogu, is the shrine where Tokugawa Ieyasu is enshrined, and most of the current shrine buildings were rebuilt in the Kan’ei 13th year by the third shogun, Iemitsu, during the Kan’ei Great Reconstruction. There are 55 buildings in the precincts, including 8 national treasures and 34 important cultural properties, and their gorgeous beauty is overwhelming. Master craftsmen from all over the country have painted the building with lacquer and rich colors, and the pillars are decorated with numerous carvings.

Even if you don’t know much about World Heritage Sites, there are very few people who don’t know about Nikko Toshogu Shrine.
Anyway, the building is very beautiful and I feel like I am freed from the stress of everyday life.

Nikko Toshogu Shrine is full of things to see, and there are important cultural properties such as the Stone Torii'',Five-storied Pagoda”, Niomon'', andSanjinko” all over the place, so you can’t miss any of them.
My particular favorite is the Yomeimon, whose pure white body and golden decorations exude elegance and elegance.
Also, don’t forget to check out the sculpture of three monkeys representing “see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil.”
