This time, I went on a motorcycle tour from central Tokyo to Kamogawa Ocean Park, a roadside station in Chiba Prefecture. In this article:

Route to Kamogawa Ocean Park

I started from central Tokyo and took the Shuto Expressway No. 9 Fukagawa Line. From there, I took the Shuto Expressway Wangan Line and crossed the Tokyo Bay Aqua Line. This road is recommended for bikers, as you can enjoy the feeling of riding on the ocean. However, you need to be careful on windy days.

After passing through the Tokyo Bay Aqua Line, enter the Tateyama Expressway at Kisarazu JCT.

From here, you can enjoy the nature of Minamiboso. I got off at Kimitsu IC and passed Prefectural Route 92 and Boso Skyline. I’m glad that Boso Skyline is free. This road is perfect for bikers, as you can enjoy the curves while looking out at the mountains and the ocean.

Get off the Boso Skyline and enter the Sotobo Kuroshio Line (National Route 128). This road runs along the coast, so you can feel the sea breeze while riding comfortably. There are also beaches and surfing spots along the way. Finally, we arrived at our destination, Kamogawa Ocean Park.

Highlights of Kamogawa Ocean Park

Kamogawa Ocean Park is a roadside station located in Kamogawa City, Chiba Prefecture. Local specialties such as seafood and agricultural products are sold here. I especially enjoyed Kamogawa’s famous turban shell rice and grilled scallops. There is also a restaurant and cafe.

The most attractive feature of Kamogawa Ocean Park is its location. You can see the Pacific Ocean from here. The sunset is especially beautiful. There is also a lawn area and observation deck on the premises. There are also beaches and fishing spots nearby.

Kamogawa Ocean Park has a parking lot exclusively for motorcycles. It is located on the right side of the premises. It is free of charge. However, the number of seats is limited, so please be careful when it is crowded. Also, please be careful about crime prevention.

This time, I went on a motorcycle tour from central Tokyo to Kamogawa Ocean Park. The distance was about 150km, but I was able to enjoy the sea and mountains while running.
