Nagato Farm is a farm that raises 200 dairy cows using home-grown grass, and is popular for its home-made dairy products and restaurant. I set out from central Tokyo on a Harley Sports Glide (FLSB). We will tell you how we covered the approximately 300km route and the highlights of Nagato Ranch.
The route from central Tokyo to Nagato Farm is as follows.
Take the Shuto Expressway and enter the Tomei Expressway, then change to the Chuo Expressway at the Hamamatsu Nishi Interchange.
Go north on the Chuo Expressway and exit at the Suwa Minami Interchange.
Head west on National Route 20 toward Lake Shirakaba.
Pass by the shore of Lake Shirakaba and enter Prefectural Route 32.
When you see the Nagato Ranch sign, turn left and arrive at the ranch.
This route takes approximately 5 and a half hours. Along the way, you can see beautiful scenery such as Mt. Fuji and Mt. Yatsugatake. There are also many service areas and parking areas along the Chuo Expressway. Convenient for taking a break or eating.
Highlights of Nagato Farm
Nagato Farm has the following highlights:
Milking experience: You can experience the feeling of milking milk using a model cow. It can be enjoyed by everyone from children to adults.
Restaurant “Colline”: You can enjoy dishes made with homemade dairy products. We recommend the shorthorn beef sandwich, margherita, and thick-sliced bacon curry.
Shop: Dairy products such as cheese and yogurt, and processed products such as jam and bread are sold here. Perfect as a souvenir.
Interaction with animals: At the farm, you can interact with animals such as dairy cows and sheep. Depending on the season, you can also see calves and lambs.
Nagato Farm does not have a dedicated parking space for motorcycles, but you can park your motorcycle in the car parking lot. Parking is free.
