[Kanto Touring Spot] [Saitama Prefecture] Bike trip to Ayakuni Fureai Farm! Traveling alone on a Harley to a place where you can interact with animals and nature

Hello, this is _hiroyuki.ta.

This time I would like to talk about touring on a Harley in Saitama Prefecture. My favorite car is a Harley-Davidson FLSB Sport Glide.

This time’s destination is “Sainokuni Fureai Farm” located in Higashichichibu Village, Chichibu District, Saitama Prefecture.

This is a facility where you can raise dairy cows and beef cattle and interact with the animals, and admission and parking are free. You can also experience making dairy products such as ice cream and butter, and the observation plaza is also a scenic spot where you can see the Tokyo Sky Tree and Shinjuku subcenter. If you are touring in Saitama Prefecture, this is a place you should definitely stop by.

Route introduction

I started from Ageo City, Saitama Prefecture. First, head north on National Route 17 and enter the Ken-O Expressway/Metropolitan Area Chuo Expressway/National Route 468 at Kano, Okegawa City. I also took a break at a convenience store along the way.

After a break, I continued on the Ken-o Expressway/Metropolitan Central Expressway/National Route 468 and the Kanetsu Expressway, and exited the Kanetsu Expressway at Arashiyama Ogawa IC. From here, I took the Ogawa Bypass/National Route 254 and Prefectural Route 11 to reach Sugiyama, Arashiyama Town.

Arashiyama Town is a town located near the border of Saitama Prefecture and Gunma Prefecture, and is home to Arashiyama Onsen and Arashiyama Park. This town is also famous as a sacred place for anime.

From Arashiyama Town, I took Prefectural Route 361 to Sakamoto, Higashichichibu Village. This road is the road where Chichibu Kogen Farm is located, and the scenery is very beautiful.

Sai no Kuni Fureai Farm

As you continue along Prefectural Route 361, you will see the signboard for Sai no Kuni Fureai Farm. Turn left here and walk a short distance until you reach the parking lot. Parking is free, but there is no designated parking lot for motorcycles. You will have to park your bike in the parking lot for regular cars. I found an empty space and parked my bike there.

Walk from the parking lot and enter the farm. At the entrance there is a building called “Moomo House.” Here you can see exhibits about livestock and milk, and try your hand at making your own.

At the animal plaza, you can interact with small animals such as goats, rabbits, and sheep. You can feed the goats and hold the rabbits. The animals are so cute and soothing.

Finally, I went to the observation plaza. From here, you can enjoy a spectacular view of Tokyo Skytree and Shinjuku subcenter. If the weather is good, you can even see Mt. Tsukuba.

Sai no Kuni Fureai Farm is a facility where you can interact with animals and try your hand at making dairy products, and admission and parking are free.
