Hello, this is _hiroyuki.ta. This time, we will introduce a touring trip to Yasuda Elementary School, a roadside station in Chiba Prefecture.

I ride a Harley-Davidson FLSB Sport Glide.

This time, we started from central Tokyo and went to Yasuda Elementary School, a roadside station in the Minamiboso area of Chiba Prefecture. This roadside station is a facility that was converted from a closed elementary school, and includes a direct sales store, restaurants, lodging, and a day-trip bath. Not only is it a place where you can enjoy Chiba Prefecture’s special products and local gourmet food, but it is also known as a nostalgic place. Now let’s take a look at the touring report.

From Sumida River Ohashi Bridge to Shuto Expressway Route 9 Fukagawa Line

Since I live in central Tokyo, I first entered the Metropolitan Expressway Route 9 Fukagawa Line from Sumida River Ohashi. Sumida River Ohashi is a bridge that spans the Sumida River and offers a view of the Tokyo Sky Tree.

The Metropolitan Expressway No. 9 Fukagawa Line is an expressway that runs through the Tokyo Bay area. From this expressway, you can see landmarks such as Rainbow Bridge and Odaiba.

I transferred from Shuto Expressway No. 9 Fukagawa Line to Shuto Expressway Wangan Line. The Shuto Expressway Bayshore Route is an expressway that circumnavigates Tokyo Bay. Landmarks such as Haneda Airport and Tokyo Gate Bridge can be seen from this expressway.

Next, take the Tokyo Bay Aqua Line from the Shuto Expressway Wangan Line.

The Tokyo Bay Aqua Line is an expressway that crosses Tokyo Bay, which is familiar from this blog.

This expressway is divided into an ocean section and an undersea section, with the ocean section being approximately 10 km long and the undersea section approximately 5 km long.

From the top of the sea, you can see a spectacular view of Tokyo Bay. At the bottom of the ocean, you run through tunnels. In the middle of this highway is the Umihotaru parking area.

Umihotaru has restaurants, shops, and an observation deck, from which you can see views of Tokyo Bay, Mt. Fuji, and more.

You can also buy Chiba Prefecture’s specialty products and local gourmet food here.

From the Higashi-Kanto Expressway Tateyama Line, get off at Kyonan Yasuda IC and get off at the lower road. From here, turn left onto Nagasa Kaido (Prefectural Road No. 34).

Roadside Station Yasuda Elementary School

The roadside station Yasuda Elementary School, located about 10km along Nagasakaido, is the destination of this tour.

Roadside Station Yasuda Elementary School is a facility that was converted from a closed elementary school, and includes a direct sales store, restaurants, lodging facilities, and a day-trip bath. Not only can you enjoy Chiba Prefecture’s special products and local gourmet food, it is also known as a sacred place for anime.

First, I went to the direct sales store and looked around at Chiba Prefecture’s special products. Agricultural products such as peanuts, strawberries, and mandarin oranges, as well as processed products such as soy sauce and miso, are sold here. Peanuts are a specialty of Chiba Prefecture, which boasts the highest production volume in Japan. Strawberries are also a specialty of Chiba Prefecture, boasting the largest number of varieties in Japan, and both can be purchased at the roadside station Yasuda Elementary School.

You can also enjoy local gourmet food from Chiba Prefecture at the restaurants. Here, you can enjoy a nostalgic elementary school lunch-like meal at the Satoyama Shokudo, as well as pizza and sweets.

This is my touring report. Roadside Station Yasuda Elementary School is a wonderful place where you can not only enjoy Chiba Prefecture’s special products and local gourmet food, but also enjoy it as a mecca for anime. I was very satisfied with this tour. This roadside station also has a motorcycle parking lot, so it is also recommended for those touring by motorcycle. There are many other touring spots in Chiba Prefecture, so I would like to visit them again if I have the chance. See you again for the next touring report. It was _hiroyuki.ta.
