Todoroki Valley is a park rich in nature located in Setagaya Ward, Tokyo. The Todoroki River, part of the Tama River system, flows through the valley, which stretches for approximately 1.2 kilometers, and you can enjoy the scenery of each season. Especially in the spring, the cherry blossoms are in full bloom, and in the fall, the leaves turn beautiful colors. There are also historical buildings within the valley, such as the Tamagawa Josui Stone Bridge, Japan’s oldest aqueduct, and Todoroki Fudoson, which was built in the Edo period. Route to Todoroki Valley

This time, I toured by motorcycle from Ageo City, Saitama Prefecture to Todoroki Valley, Tokyo. My favorite car is a Harley-Davidson FLSB Sport Glide. The starting point was the parking lot in front of Ageo City Hall. From there, we headed to Saitama City via National Route 17 and the Shin-Omiya Bypass. This section has relatively little traffic and is easy to drive, but there are many traffic lights, so you need to be careful. At Saitama City, I transferred to the Shuto Expressway Omiya Line and headed towards Higashi-Ikebukuro. There is a fee for this section, but it can be crowded depending on the time of day. At Higashi-Ikebukuro, I transferred to the Shuto Expressway No. 5 Ikebukuro Line and headed towards the Chuo Expressway. This section also has a toll, but it feels good to drive on the expressway. On the Chuo Expressway, I passed through the Yamate Tunnel and headed for Ohashi JCT. This tunnel is long and dark so be careful.

At Ohashi JCT, I transferred to Shuto Expressway No. 3 Shibuya Line and headed towards Yoga. There is a fee for this section, but as you drive through the city center, the scenery changes and your mood improves.

At Yoga, I got off the Shuto Expressway No. 3 Shibuya Line and entered Kanpachi Dori. This section is free, but there is a lot of traffic and it can be congested. At Kanpachi-dori, I entered Meguro-dori and came close to Todoroki Keikoku Park. It’s almost time to reach our destination. From Meguro-dori, we entered Yoganakamachi-dori, then turned left and arrived at the entrance to Todoroki Keikoku Park. It was about an hour and a half touring.
