Hello, this is _hiroyuki.ta. This time, I toured to Hottarakashi Onsen from central Tokyo on a Harley Sports Glide (FLSB). Hottarakashi Onsen is a day-trip hot spring facility with a spectacular view of Mt. Fuji and the Kofu Basin. You can enjoy the sunrise and starry sky from the open-air bath, so it is recommended for those who like morning baths and night views. This time, we will introduce the route to Hottarakashi Onsen, highlights, motorcycle parking, etc.
Route to Hottarakashi Onsen
You can get to Hottarakashi Onsen from central Tokyo in about two and a half hours using the Chuo Expressway. On the way, get off at Katsunuma Interchange and head west on National Route 20. Turn right at the Ichinomiya Sengen Shrine entrance signal, turn right in front of Sengen Shrine, and immediately turn left. Continue along the road and pass in front of Yamanashi Station. Turn right at the Fruit Park entrance signal and enter the Fuefukigawa Fruit Park No. 1 parking lot. After passing through the park, you will arrive at Hottarakashi Onsen, located approximately 1.2 km away in Michiya.

There are two bathhouses at Hottarakashi Onsen: Kocchi no Yu and Acchi No Yu. Both are strong alkaline simple hot springs that are gentle on the skin and won’t make you feel cold. The views of Mt. Fuji and the Kofu Basin are different from each other, so it’s fun to visit both. Kocchi no Yu'' is the first hot spring to be built, and you can see Mt. Fuji right in front of you.
Acchi no Yu” is popular for its spacious bathtub and spectacular view overlooking the Kofu Basin. Mt. Fuji can be seen diagonally to the right. “Acchi no Yu” is open before sunrise, so we recommend taking a bath in the morning.
At Hottarakashi Onsen, you can enjoy not only a bath but also meals and souvenirs. Breakfast and curry are popular at Kikyokuya. At Momotaro, we recommend the hot egg and chilled sakura meat udon. At the Hottarakashi Onsen Shop, you can buy raw Shingen mochi and wine. “Yuru Camp△” goods are also available.
Motorcycle parking lot at Hottarakashi Onsen
Hottarakashi Onsen has a parking lot exclusively for motorcycles. You can park your bike in the bike parking lot on the left from the entrance. Bicycle parking is free. However, please note that the venue will be closed from 10pm until opening the next day. Also, depending on the number of motorcycles, you may be asked to park in a general parking lot. In that case, please follow the instructions of the staff.
