I rode a motorcycle and went on a tour to Joren Falls in Shizuoka Prefecture.

What is Joren Falls?

Joren Falls is a waterfall located in Yugashima, Izu City, Shizuoka Prefecture.

A majestic waterfall with a height of 25 meters and a width of 7 meters, it is a representative tourist spot in Izu.

Beneath the basin of the waterfall, the natural monument Hikomochi fern grows in clusters, creating a mystical atmosphere.

Joren Falls is also known as the place that appears in the lyrics of singer Sayuri Ishikawa’s signature song, “Amagi Goe”.

Route to Joren Falls

It takes about 2 hours from central Tokyo to Joren Falls by expressway.

The starting point is from Tokyo Station’s Yaesu Exit and run along the Tomei Expressway to Shizuoka IC.

From Shizuoka IC, take National Route 1 towards Izu and get off at Yugashima Interchange.

From Yugashima Interchange, take National Route 135 towards Joren Falls and arrive at Joren Falls in about 20 minutes.

Joren Falls motorcycle parking lot

Joren Falls has three parking lots for motorcycles near the entrance.

The parking lot is located near the waterfall and can accommodate approximately 50 cars.

Parking fee is free.
