[Kanto day trip sightseeing tour] [Kanagawa Prefecture] Bike trip to Verny Park! A solo trip to experience Yokosuka warships and history

I went on a tour to Verny Park in Yokosuka, Kanagawa Prefecture, so I would like to explore the unique charm of this spot.

What is Yokosuka City Verny Park?

This park has a French garden style and overlooks the former Yokosuka Steel Works, which French engineer Verny helped build, on the opposite bank.

The battleships visible from the park are amazing!

The attraction of this park is definitely the submarines and battleships that can be seen from the pier.

The large aircraft, exposed cannon, and solemn atmosphere where nothing can come close to you is truly a sight to behold.

It seems that there are many photographers, travelers, and tourists who come to take in this view, including people walking around the park taking photos with GoPro cameras, and cosplayers wearing flashy costumes and taking photos with the battleship in the background.

When taking photos, be careful not to disturb others.

Good bike parking lot

If you want to go to Verny Park by car or bike, you can use the parking lot of the attached shopping mall, but the bike parking lot is free for 3 hours from the time you enter the parking lot, so don’t worry about the price when visiting Verny Park.

There is enough space to stop even a Harley.

By the way, I strolled around the park, took photos, and did some sightseeing at a leisurely pace, but I was able to spend plenty of time as it was free of charge.
