Hello, this is _hiroyuki.ta.
This time, I toured by motorcycle from central Tokyo to Atami Beach Line.
The Atami Beach Line is a 6.1km tourist toll road that runs from the Kadokawa intersection in Atami City, Shizuoka Prefecture to the vicinity of Higashikai Town (Omiya no Matsu).
It is a comfortable route that runs along the Sagami Sea coast, and also has a bypass function for National Route 135, which runs parallel to it.
This time, I would like to introduce its charm, highlights, motorcycle parking, etc.

What is Atami Beach Line?

Atami Beach Line is a historic toll road that began operating in 1965 (Showa 40).
At that time, the number of tourists visiting Atami Onsen and the Izu Peninsula was increasing, so it was built to relieve congestion on National Route 135.
Currently, it is operated as a general motorway and can be used by everything from motorcycles (over 125cc) to large vehicles.
However, pedestrians, bicycles, motorized bicycles, and motorcycles under 125cc are prohibited from passing.

The biggest feature of Atami Beach Line is its beautiful scenery.
As you pass along the coastline, you can see the blue sea and white waves of Sagami Sea up close.
In addition, various flowers bloom along the road, and you can enjoy the colorful scenery depending on the season.
Spring is the best time to see cherry blossoms and rape blossoms, and fireworks festivals are held in summer.
In autumn, you can see beautiful autumn leaves and cosmos, and in winter, you can see Mt. Fuji and snowy scenery.
This is a road where you can experience the charm of nature throughout the four seasons.

The starting point is Hakozaki Minatobashi Street in central Tokyo.
From Hakozaki IC, take Shuto Expressway Route 6 Mukojima Line.
From the Shuto Expressway No. 6 Mukojima Line, transfer to the Shuto Expressway Toshin Loop Line at Edobashi JCT.
From the Shuto Expressway Inner Loop Line, go to the right at the fork and transfer to the Shuto Expressway No. 3 Shibuya Line.
Transfer from Shuto Expressway No. 3 Shibuya Line to Tomei Expressway.
From the Tomei Expressway, take the Atsugi IC and transfer to the Odawara-Atsugi Road.
Transfer from Odawara Atsugi Road to Seisho Bypass.
From the Seisho bypass, exit onto National Route 135 Manazuru Road, turn diagonally to the left at the Kadokawa intersection and enter the Atami Beach Line.

This route covers a distance of 89.6km in approximately 1 hour and 17 minutes.
Be sure to drive safely when driving on the highway.
Also, stop by the service area or parking area as appropriate for a break or to refuel.
After getting off the expressway, drive on National Route 135 Manazuru Road, but there are many curves and hills, so slow down and drive carefully.
Also, since you will be riding along the coastline, be careful of the effects of wind and waves.
